The Best Tool to Leverage Your Business

Limited Budgests, Unlimited Minds - Leveraging Your Brain to Create SuccessIf I were an ideal writer, this post would get published after the other two in this series; It would have been easier to understand them because some readers would be already training their minds to strive for perfection and find the truth behind myths. You must be asking why is this post published after the other two?

The answer is not that I want you to read my posts twice, I only want to show you how changing the way you think can result in a much powerful understanding of the things other people say, somethings that you may have missed while in your own mind-limited reality.

But the comparison described in the previous paragraph is far from being the purpose behind this post, it takes on something much more important than exposing a myth or setting higher goals, this post takes on how breaching out of your context will help you create and manifest a better business.

What is it All About?

Widening your context is all about leveraging your mind first, make the drastic mental change that will prepare you for the moment an opportunity pops up. Widening your context is being ready to change and adapt to a new reality when there’s a chance to.

This article is a long one, if you’re not willing to spend 10 minutes reading something that may help you change your reality, I don’t think you’d ever spend more than 1 month doing something to change your reality, and you may click on that little red “x” button now.

Why You Should Widen Your Context

It’s the most efficient & affordable way to leverage your business -
Unfortunately, and unlike the moguls in your market, you may not have the money to invest and leverage, which is of course a disadvantage. Fortunately - The most efficient change that helps you reach your goals doesn’t cost a penny, and that would be using your mind and your context as your main leverage tool.

Reach your goals -
One of the posts in this series talked about setting the highest goals for better results. The thing is, if you really intend to reach the goals you set, you want to be ready for the moment they are realized. One more reason to keep on reading.

Your context imposes your reality -
Your reality is what you think is realistic. One of the factors that affects our views on realism is our context. Do a little experiment: bring an empty glass and start pouring water into it, what happens after a few seconds? the water starts to spill. That glass is your context, and the water is opportunities/money/traffic/whatever. See, there’s a lot of everything in this world, all you have to do is turn your glass of water into a big jug.

How to Widen Your Context

Eat more than you can chew -
One of my more practiced hobbies is playing guitar. When I first started I didn’t want to take on songs that I thought were too hard for me at that moment. After 6 months I realized I couldn’t play a single song. When you’re a guitar beginner every song is going to be too hard when you first attempt to play it, and it’s either you’re practicing, or not learning how to play.

Same goes for your mind, if you don’t practice things that are challenging you, you’re not learning anything new. Take on opportunities that seem bigger than your abilities, practice makes perfect.

The questions you need to ask yourself -
A brain that uses wide context is a brain which “asks” the right questions. Many people say “I can’t afford that” or “that investment is too risky” but never bother to ask themselves “how can I afford that” or “how can I reduce the risk in this investment” (read how I hired two bloggers for free).

A friend I met through this blog asked me yesterday: “with all the great blogs out there, why would mine be successful?”, my answer for him was: “I make 4 figures at 18, and English is my 3rd language, third!, if I and thousands more did it, why can’t you?”…when you’re dreaming, don’t ask yourself why?, ask yourself why not?

You’ve already reached your goal -
One of my earlier goals for AlleNation was to sound more authoritative, I tried several ways, but noticed that only one of them worked. It was when I asked myself what does it mean to be authoritative?, one of the answers myself gave me was that people would take what I say more seriously.

To fulfill a goal, you have to ask yourself what would it mean if you fulfilled it and treat yourself like you’ve already reached it. In my case - I had to take what I said seriously, and only then expect people to do the same. You can see that there was a change in the tone of this blog, and it wasn’t coincidental.

Keeping it real -
What I described in the previous clause was creating the symptoms of success before success itself in order to make the process faster. But while manifesting for success is a good thing, nothing will contribute to your success more than the decisions and the actions you will take in order to achieve it. A healthy & ambitious mentality is futile when you’re not doing anything it.

When to Start?

Now.
Like I’ve said, unlike starting a new advertising campaign with the money you don’t have, widening your context isn’t going to cost you anything. Actually, It may be one of the best business decisions you have ever made, think about it.

love the “eat more than you can chew”! i can’t count the number of times i had to accept a challenge in order to realize i can do much more than i thought i could.

Rightfully said.. i’m a strong believer in what’s in your head, and what’s in your attitude.

i remember playing the guitar too Allen. In fact I still do and im a damn good player.. a good hit at little parties or garage jams!

But when i started playing, tehre was no such thing as “Too hard for me right now” i just went at all the songs i wanted to play and i learned fast..

as for music, there will be a point where you rlearning curve steepens after you sort of reach an “understanding” as i like to call it.. at that point you don’t even need tabs anymore - for a lot of songs, you can just listen to it and play along it.

and then you can start experimenting with other instruments easily - i play the guitar, harmonica, and a bit of piano now.

Hi Allen,

This was a great post and your writing abilities seem top notch.

Like I mentioned to you on my blog, that after studying the way you posted your comments everywhere, you did sound very authoritative.

People judge others by their actions and we judge ourselves by our intentions. So, when some of us write in an authoritative manner, we come off sounding very insecure if, like you said, we are not able to widen our context and believe in the things we write.

But, in your case, you are cutting your own path, earning credibility, and gaining a reputation, which allows you to be transparent enough that we can feel your confidence when you write.

I really like your style! Keep up the great work.
