Quit Making Fun of Yourself

Once upon a time there was a young blogger who decided to start a personal blog, in this blog he shared all he could about his journey to financial independence, the blog grew slightly popular with time, so the young blogger decided to turn it into more of a web development blog, hoping to further increase his readership, finding new venture partners and establish a brand in the industry.

But something happened, something that forced him to stay away from the internet for a while, he tried to come back after more than a year, only to realize that getting a disappointed reader back to your blog is much harder than earning a new one.

I’m a bit saddened about the state of this blogger, not because he’s not successful anymore, but because he failed to keep up with the original cause of his blog: personal. He turned his passion to fashion, and as we all know fashion is a time-dependent thing, while passion is there to stay.

I talked to this blogger, I talk to him everyday - He still makes a few hundred bucks a month, maybe a thousand on a good one, he’s also slowly getting back into the entertainment blogs business - but still fails to vent at the end of the day, speak out loud on the blog that still likes so much.

We figured out that he should take things as they are, stop following his dreams about success and may hook up with them somewhere along the way, he should stop making promises he can’t keep, be honest with himself, cause that’s how he got to where he was in the first place.

This blogger is Allen Heat, I still think he has something to offer the blogosphere, being so rusty frustrates him, but when the dust is off his mind, I’m sure he’ll do much better.

No more promises, I promise.
