Another Test is Ahead

Over the course of time, a blogger must overcome certain challenges, obstacles and generally rough times if he wishes to remain and grow; no matter how long you’ve been in the industry or what’s your current status - you will eventually face serious challenges that will test your consistency and passion.

I’m going a similar phase right now - I feel another, bigger test is ahead.

As some of you may or may not know, I’ve been having a hard time with moving from one host to another, and have been generally unmotivated ever since the move was partly completed, I feel as if it is a snowball of unfortunate events that has led to the psychological state I’m in right now that is preventing me of coming up with something to left me back up to where I was.

If you’re wondering what the hell I’m talking about, here’s what’s been happening:

1. I’m still having problems with my current host, although not critical - but significant.

2. Both my earnings & traffic are in an all-time low since December, 2006; ever since the sites were moved I’ve been failing to bring them up to where they were.

3. I feel generally unmotivated.

I have 102 reasons not to blog consistently right now: I’ve got myself a brand new BMW 320i, Holidays are coming soon in my country and I’ve been called by my dad to help with his very demanding business, my final exams are coming and my online business is in a crisis.

Although I think I went through passion-tests before, I believe this is one of the hardest ones I’ll stand in - I think that dealing with failure after a huge success can be the most challenging and frustrating times one can go through, I hope that my passion and determination will overcome the hurdles in the way.

I’m sure you can overcome adversity. Don’t give up and just stick with it.. One of my favorite quotes:

“The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.”

I have faith in you!

I sincerely hope that you will overcome your temporary crisis. It would be a shame when you don’t continue posting on your blog. Good luck and try to overcome all your “miseries”!

Internet income goes up down. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. At worst, you could get a bungalow on the beach in Thailand for 10 bucks a day! As we know, it is not too hard to make at least 10 dollars a day.

what i suggest:
go drinking
get your shit straight
and work your ass off
no matter how depressed about the current situation you are
if you feel depressed take a walk, take a shower, and get back to your computer man

Come on, don’t just sit there! Start posting again!! Please :(

This is jus pitiful… sad, sad, sad what a tragic disappointment :(

Allen - what has happened?

I think the problem comes when you blog with the key desire to make money. Blogging out of passion for your subject will always drive you more than money.
